Eye level
The horizon is not where the sky starts. It is the height of your eyes, and it still exists when you are indoors.
- 1
Look straight ahead
Not up at the ceiling and not down at the floor. Where that level gaze hits the far wall is your horizon.
- 2
A person your height
Their eyes sit on your horizon, whether they stand across the room or beside you. Their head rises a little above the line. Their feet do not.
- 3
Tops and undersides
Below the horizon you see top surfaces. Above it you see undersides. A table shows its top. A beam overhead shows its soffit.

Drill
Too high. You would be looking over that person's head.
