Equal things, unequal gaps
Posts spaced evenly in the world are not spaced evenly on the page. The gaps tighten as they approach eye level's vanishing point.
- 1
One height
If the posts are the same height, their tops share a line to the vanishing point and their bases share another. Draw those two rails first.
- 2
The rhythm
Each next gap is smaller than the one in front of it. Not randomly — steadily. A gap that suddenly widens means the post stepped sideways.
- 3
They cross eye level together
A row of equal posts meets the horizon at the same fraction of their height. If one post's midpoint hits the horizon, they all do.

Drill
Draw the two rails to the vanishing point first, then drop the posts between them.
