Eyes stay on the horizon

A standing person your height has their eyes on your eye level, near or far. Only the drawn size changes.

  1. 1

    Drop them on the floor

Feet on the ground plane. Eyes locked to the horizon. The head crosses slightly above the line — that small cap is the skull above the eyes.

  2. 2

    Walk them back

They shrink. The eyes do not drift up the wall. If a distant figure is huge, or a near figure has eyes at the waist, the room will feel wrong even when the walls are correct.

  3. 3

    The usual mistake

Drawing people at one size and sliding them around the page. Turn the mistake on and watch the eyes leave the horizon.

Drill

Eyes stay on the horizon. Walk them back and only the body shrinks. The skull still clears the line.
